AKA Annika

Annika recently earned her Master's degree in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno. She has always been passionate about teaching science to K-12 students, as well as the general public. Annika also enjoys embroidering, spending time outdoors, and giving back to her community. Through her experiences, Annika hopes to inspire others to connect with science and see the value of interactive education.

Annika loves playing Fortnite, building Lego sets, and has played volleyball for 10+ years.

AKA Connor

Although born in Hawaii, Connor was raised in San Diego and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education from SDSU. As a full-time substitute teacher in the San Diego Unified School District, Connor integrates his love of science through hands-on experiments and curiosity-driven lessons that spark those classic “aha!” moments.

Connor enjoys 3D printing, collecting fossils and antique coins, watching anime, and chowing down on the best nachos in town.

AKA Camryn

Cam recently graduated from SDSU with a degree in Business Marketing. She is currently a Science Guys’ Professor and nanny, but has also worked as a children’s gymnastics coach, camp counselor, tattoo shop manager, and mobile lemonade stand worker! Her favorite science fact is the triple point, which is when a substance exists as a liquid, solid, and gas all at once!

Cam likes thrifting, the outdoors, sports, and hanging with her two cats. She even played D1 ultimate frisbee! At one point in time, Cam was the number 6 best Tetris player in the San Diego area!

AKA Crystal

Crystal is a San Diego native and grew up as a competitive swimmer. After "retiring" from competitive swimming, she became a lifeguard and swim and surf instructor for over 7 years. She graduated in Communications and Linguistics, and is currently studying Nuclear Medicine. Crystal has a passion for helping others, whether it's through activities, sports, healthcare, or academics!

Crystal is a language geek! She studied abroad in Italy, France, Costa Rica, and is a beginner in Chinese and Korean. She loves dogs, especially white fluffy ones.

AKA Joselyn

Joselyn Mejia was born and raised in San Diego, CA. Joselyn is planning on attending college to major in Education with the goal of becoming a kindergarten teacher! Joselyn loves dogs and spending time with her family and friends.

Spanish was Joselyn’s first language!

Mari was born and raised in San Diego, just a short drive from the beach. She is currently studying to become a clinical scientist to help others. She loves to enjoy the beach and ocean.

Mari enjoys collecting seashells and fishing!

AKA Hannah

Program Manager

Hannah grew up in Southern California and earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Cal Poly SLO. She recently graduated with her MFA from Eastern Oregon University.

Hannah taught with the Science Guys for two years before transitioning into the role as Program Manager.

Hannah loves reading, watching anime with her housemates, and finding the best burritos in San Diego!

AKA Krystal

Originally from New Orleans, Krystal moved to San Diego in 2018 and has 8 years of experience as a teaching artist. She combines her passion for creativity and science to make learning a blast for kids, sparking curiosity and excitement in young minds, and turning everyday science into unforgettable fun!

Krystal is a multi-talented artist who styles hair by day and performs hip-hop/poetry by night.

AKA Jakilynn

Jakilynn is currently studying Family and Child Education. Jakilynn has lived in California all of our life, but recently moved to San Diego in 2023. Jakilynn first developed a passion for working with children when she volunteered with Hula from the Heart.
